Help Shape Tomorrow's Workforce

The Wake Forest Chamber Foundation has started a Career Readiness Academy.  Many local businesses are actively participating in the current program.  Below is a list of all of the intern providers participating in the 2019-2020 school year.  We will begin to recruit for the 2020-2021 school year in April 2020.

Why Host An Intern

  1. Use an extra pair of hands for several months
  2. Start or finish an essential project
  3. Provide valuable work experience for tomorrow’s workers
  4. Be featured as a community supporter of youth workforce initiatives
  5. Receive HR resources and additional support from local experts

How Long Is The Internship

The students will complete 120 Hours of internship experience. We recommend that they complete the hours over 15 weeks averaging 8 hours a week. Students will complete these hours either during a either a Summer/Fall, Fall or Spring setting.  Students will set their schedule with their school and then a placement process will begin with the student and businesses that have offered to participate.
